Family Law

Family law encompasses those areas of the law where the relations between individuals are governed. For instance, divorce, child custody and support obligations are involved. While an ideal situation would be that families stay together and the obligations of parents toward their children are always met, we recognize that such is not always the case. In areas where the issues of divorce and separation, child support and custody may be at issue, we can provide helpful advice and services to aid in restoring some order to a difficult situation.

Adoption is that area of law where the relationship of parent and child is established by law. It can occur by families adopting a child through a placement agency or by a stepparent adopting their stepchild as their own.
